How can positive speaking and thinking change your life?

So 2 weeks ago, I decided to do a 21 day challenge for myself. To break free of the negative thinking and talking that o was doing to see just how seriously it was effecting my life.

For a quick back story, 2 months ago, my husband of 3 years and father to my 1.5 year old son decided to leave us. Life, as you can image, we turned upside down for me and for months leading up to that horrible day and for the 2 months after, I was a depressed mess of emotions and actions...or lack of actions...and temper.

I didn't know which way was up or how I was now going to be a single mother to a toddler...who this whole time was a stay at home mom. So now I had to figure out work or school and some kind of income to keep food in our bellies. We had to move to another countey and now had no home and no car. The transition was far from easy and far from enjoyable.

One day I woke up and decided enough was enough and that I had control of my life and I was ready to make things happen...for the better!

Now, I started this challenge as a 21 days thing but the results after just 2 weeks have been so mind blowing, that I cannot contain my excitement and just had to share!

The first day of my challenge, I recieved my first online sale in who knows how long!
The second day of the challenge, I received a large sum of money to use for a down payment on a car!
The third day, I bought my FIRST ever car, that was completely and only in my name!
The fourth day, I was able to see a dear friend of mine that I hasn't seen in 3 years!
The filth day, I finished all paperwork and financial aid and was officially enrolled in a massage school!
The sixth day of the challenge I made another online sale from www.spiritualhealingflorida.com!
The seventh day a plane ticket was booked for my son and I to fly to Panama and visit my mom!
The eighth day, I started a new website and had a flood of new creative juices flowing!
The ninth day, I saw my dear friend again!!
The tenth day, I got news from my best friend that she would watch my son for me while I was in school, so I didn't have to worry about leaving him with a stranger or an expensive daycare!
The eleventh day, my husband called...just to talk!

So that's it...it hasn't even been 2 full weeks and every single day has just been a flood of amazing positive things happening to and for me!

There have been moments where the depression or negativity tries to settle in at times but now that I am consuously aware of it, I can STOP it from continuing and change it for something positive.
This challenge has literally turned my life around in a matter of days! And not just little things either!!!!

Where are you at in life?  Do you have control of your thoughts and the words that come out of your mouth?

Try a positive speaking/thinking challenge for yourself and discover what amazing changes lay waiting for you!!!

5 Ways My 3 Month Old Increased My Spiritual Awareness

I have been on my spiritual journey for many years now, but since the birth of my 3rd child, I have noticed ways that he has brought my spiritual awareness to a whole new level. Here are 5 ways my son increased my spiritual awareness.

5. Living in "the NOW".
So often we get caught up in the crazy rush of life, not taking a break to stop and see the beauty that is all around us. With my son, I wish I could freeze time. Staring at his tiny features, listening to his innocent cries and laughs, trying to soak it all in, as I am fully aware it will be gone too fast.

4. Patience and Understanding.
As a breastfeeding mom, it is difficult for my husband to get up in the night to care for the crying baby, so 99% of time, I am up all night feeding changing and rocking the baby back to sleep. And then as my husband works a full time job, 6 days a week...I am also the one home all day. I know they say to sleep when the baby sleeps...but only 1 out of 5 things is happening when my son sleeps during the day, and not one of them is sleep.
     1. Take a much needed shower, as I have managed to be peed, pooped and thrown up all before 9am.
     2. Cook and finally eat something.
     3. Conquer the seemingly impossible and get dressed.
     4. Clean up the pee, poop and throw up that managed to get on everything in the house
     5. Try to accomplish some work from home.
So as you can imagine... out of 24 hours a day 6 days a week, my average sleep (for those 6 days) is about 24 hours (or less). So keeping my cool is quite important. Having a child has taught me how to instantly collect my thoughts and cool my frustration. Settling my fried emotions and understanding my son who needs me in those moments.

3. Intuition.
We are all connected, but a connection between a mother and her child is unpairable (if that is a word).  Who doesnt wish to understand the wordless cries for help, and know what exactly is wrong? Tuning into your infants needs and "guessing" what is wrong, to soothe those tears away is an amazing and person exercise for intuition growth.

2. Relax and Breathe.
Cleaning the house, working from home, taking a shower, getting dressed, walking the dog, eating meals, going to the store, feeding the baby, changing the baby a single day is filled with an overload of things to keep you busy. But one look into my son's eyes, and everything else melts away. Suddenly those dirty dishes dont seem so important as I take a deep breath in and cherish the things that really matter.

1. Love.
This child of ours, is not our first, or second...but 3rd baby, and still I cannot imagine that there is any possible way there could fit more love in my heart, than I have for my children. Everyday I am overwhelmed...in the best of ways...with floods of love for my new baby and for my husband who I see getting lost in those tiny eyes as well. Arguments have gone to a minimal as we both (my husband and I) discovered the little things in life are really...not important. Does it matter if he left the toilet seat up again? Or that I have a trail of clothes across the floor? No...not anymore. When we get lost in the love of our child, all those things go away. We focus on what really matters...each other.

Motivation to Motivate!

Ever roll out of bed in the morning and feel like you just don't want to do ANYTHING? I feel like that all the time, and I know I'm not the only one!

Here are some SUPER simple ways to get your mind body and soul kick started!

Eating Healthy
We all say we want to eat better, but when it comes down to the munchies or the lack of motivation to make a meal, what do we do? Go for the quick and easy stuff...which usually is the most unhealthy stuff.

Solution
Go to the grocery story on a full stomach. This will keep you from looking for the munchies you get when you feel hungry.
Make a shopping list of healthy foods and STICK TO THE LIST.

If you force yourself to buy healthy food only, then the only food you will have in your house when those munchies come around...will be healthy!

Working Out
Again, this is another thing that we all say, but few of us have the motivation to do it.

Solution
Dress for success! Put on your work out clothes!!! Yup its that simple. Just throwing on your workout clothes can motivate you to drop and do some crunches or run to the gym!

If I am home for the day (which is often) I throw on my yoga clothes and putter around the house. Every now and then I will drop to my yoga mat and do some planks and yoga! It only takes a few minutes a few times a day!

Drink More Water
I can't stress enough how important water is, and the majority of us do not get enough.
Water not only helps our bodies to function, but it also creates flow for energy and manifestations.

Solution
Just like a child likes to play with his/her shiny new toy...so do us adults!
Go out and splurge on a fancy new water bottle! Once you get this "shiny new toy" you will want to keep it around you and use it everyday (for a while). Do this and hold out for 21 days to create a habit!
Also, take note of how much better you feel and look during this time of extra water drinking!

Meditate
Having "no time" to meditate is a terrible thing to say...though I say it often enough myself.
Finding "time" (or motivation) to sit and meditate can seem near impossible.

Solution
If you REALLY are having a hard time sitting to meditate than do this simple small thing every evening before you go to bed and/or first thing in the morning.
Keep a notebook handy and use it ONLY for this!
Write down (if it's in the evening) all the POSITIVE things that happened during the day. Reflect on the good things and write them down. If it is in the morning than write down all the POSITIVE things that you look forward to in the day!

Though this doesn't seem like meditation, this will bring positive flow into your day and night!

33 uses for Coconut Oil for MOMS and BABIES!

Hey Babies! Hey Mamas!
Did you know that coconut oil is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and awesome!? Over the last few years, research has confirmed that coconut oil is one of the healthiest and handiest products we can keep in our homes.
For us mamas, coconut oil can easily become our new best friend. Get ready to stop letting that jar of coconut oil sit unused in the pantry.
DiGG presents to you, the ultimate staple in your Mama-thecary! ;)
*Note* We recommend organic, cold-pressed, extra-virgin coconut oil. It’s the healthiest.
33 Coconut Oil Uses For Babies and Mamas
1. Increase milk supply and add nutrients – Nursing? Increase your milk supply and give your babies a boost of nutrients by adding coconut oil into your diet. A few tablespoons daily may increase your milk supply and add benefits for up to 1-3 days.
2. Baby’s sick nose – Use as a natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial moisturizer around baby’s nose when sick.
3. Massage – Both Mamas and babies love massages! Warm coconut oil between your hands and it will turn into a oil that’s perfect for a little r&r.
4. Diaper rash cream - Apply regularly (especially after a bath) for extra moisture and as a natural antibacterial barrier. Coconut oil also is a proven natural treatment for diaper rash and helps save that trip to the doctor’s by cutting healing time in half!
5. Baby tooth paste – Try using a small amount on baby’s gums for a natural toothpaste.
6. Hair conditioner – Both Mamas and babies can enjoy the super moisturizing benefits of coconut oil. Just wet your hair and distribute through the hair. Great as an overnight treatment. DIY Spa – Baby edition, anyone?
7. Cradle cap – For newborns with cradle cap, rub a small amount of coconut oil on the scalp and let it sit for a bit. Then use a soft brush and gently brush flakes away.
8. Eczema – Coconut oil is perfect for treating skin conditions like eczema because of it’s deep moisturizing abilities.
9. Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease – Virgin coconut oil’s anti-viral properties can help HFM disease by applying to sore areas of the mouth and lips.

15. Stretch marks – Rub coconut oil on your pregnant or postpartum belly for relief from itching and as a precaution or treatment for stretch marks.
